Nepalese citizens applying for the attestations/certifications are required to submit the supporting documents mentioned in each category.
A. Attestation of Citizenship, Minor Certificate and Birth Certificate
1. An application
2. Money Order / Cashier Check of $ 50.00 payable to the Consulate General of Nepal (cash, debit/credit card or personal check are not acceptable).
3. Original and photocopy of the documents to be attested.
4. Copies of applicant’s Passport (page 1, 2 and 3)
5. Postage paid self-addressed return envelope with tracking number on it..
B. Attestation of Driving License
1. An application
2. Money Order/ Cashier Check of $ 50.00 payable to the Consulate General of Nepal (cash, debit/credit card or personal check are not acceptable).
3. Original and copy of Driving License.
4. Copy of Passport (page 1, 2 and 3)
5. Postage paid self-addressed return envelope with tracking number on it.
C. Attestation of Birth Certificate
1. An application
2. Money Order/ Cashier Check of $ 50.00 payable to the Consulate General of Nepal (cash, debit/credit card or personal check are not acceptable).
3. Original copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Local Authorities of Nepal (VDC/Municipality).
4. Letter issued by Registration Office in Nepal (Registration Section of the Ministry of Local Development or Village Development Committee or Municipality certifying applicant’s birth.)
5. Postage paid self-addressed return envelope with tracking number on it.
6. Passport of the applicant.
Please note that the Embassy does not issue birth certificate. However, in case of necessity, a To Whom It May Concern letter can be issued with the following supporting documents as a proof of date of birth:
1. An application with parents’ name, applicant’s place of birth and date of birth.
2. Money Order or Cashier Cheque of $ 50.00 payable to the Embassy of Nepal, with the name and address of the applicant written on it (cash, debit/credit card or personal check are not acceptable).
3. Original Citizenship Certificate.
4. Copies of Passport (page 1, 2 and 3)
5. If the applicant is unable to submit a copy of Citizenship Certificate, submit a copy of any academic certificate issued by school or college with date of birth mentioned therein.
7. Postage paid self-addressed return envelope with tracking number on it.
D. Attestation of Marriage Certificate
1. An application
2. Money Order/ Cashier Check of $ 50.00 payable to the Consulate General of Nepal (cash, debit/credit card or personal check are not acceptable).
3. Copies of passport of both the husband and wife (page 1, 2 and 3)
4. Original and copy of Marriage Certificate issued by District Administration Office or Local Authorities (VDC/Municipality).
5. Postage paid self-addressed return envelope with tracking number on it.
E. Attestation of Relationship Certificate
1. An application
2.Money Order/ Cashier Check of $ 50.00 payable to the Consulate General of Nepal (cash, debit/credit card or personal check are not acceptable).
3. Copies of passport (page 1, 2 and 3)
4. Original and copy of Relationship Certificate issued by District Administration Office or Local Authorities (VDC/Municipality).
5. Copies of Citizenship Certificate.
6. Postage paid self-addressed return envelope with tracking number on it.
