Consul General Madhu K Marasini handed over the images of the 11th Century Standing Buddha and the 12th Century Uma Maheshwore repatriated back to Nepal with the assistance of Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, to the Director General of Department of Archeology, Kathmandu, on April 4, 2018. Hon. Consul General Mr. Madhu Marasini’s meeting with New Jersey City Council President Mr. Roland R. Lavarro. They shared views on Nepali community’s welfare and range of the issues of tourism and trade cooperation.
The Consulate General of Nepal celebrated the International Women’s Day together with the Society of Foreign Consuls (SOFC) in New York. During the occasion the Consulate’s nominee Dr. Bishnu Maya Pariyar, was honored as an outstanding woman leader representing Nepali community. Altogether 19 nominees representing different counties received such an honor by SOFC . 5th March 2018
Consulate General of Nepal in New York participated in the International Food Festival organized by the Society of Foreign Consuls, New York. The Consulate provided typical Nepali dishes such as MoMo, Sel Roti, which were very much liked by the participants. 30 Consulate Generals have attended the event.
