Nepali citizens who wish to renounce their Nepali citizenship must submit the following required documents to the Consulate General of Nepal in New York.
A duly completed Relinquishment of Nepali Citizenship Application (Find the Form)
Original Nepali Citizenship Certificate
Two recent passport-size photograph
Copy of U.S. Passport
Copy of U.S. Certificate of Naturalization
Self-addressed prepaid return envelope with a tracking number (Not required for in-person pickup)
Fee & Payment Method: US $ 50.00; Cashier's Check or Money Order (It must be made payable to: The Consulate General of Nepal, New York)
Processing Time: Applicants will receive email regarding application status updates.
